My coworkers and I had a conversation last month about a particular book series telling end-of-times tales that was adapted for the big screen because we had just gotten word that the movie was being remade and shall be released next summer - starring Nicolas Cage and CHAD MICHAEL MURRAY (yes, he's still alive)!
